Opportunities

Given the nature of the consulting business, we try to identify qualified candidates for future projects. We hire developers when we start a project that requires more staff than we currently employ.

Both temporary positions (of up to several months) and regular staff positions may become available, depending on the length of the assignment and current business conditions.

We are accepting resumes for the following positions at entry, intermediate, and senior levels:


Writing Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Write technical materials, including reference guides, online Help, training materials, and other types of user assistance.
  • Edit, proofread, and format documents using a variety of software tools.
  • Help with projects such as updating the Web site and writing newsletters.
  • Work under the direction of senior staff on various projects. This person reports to the Manager of Consulting Services.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to project management.
  • Serve as backup for office manager.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to assimilate complex technical information.
  • Strong PC skills and knowledge of word-processing.
  • Flexibility. Must be able to work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree or related work experience.

Technical Writer

Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs analysis, interview users and work with subject matter experts to gather information.
  • Plan, organize, design and develop technical materials, including reference material, online help, training materials and other types of user assistance.
  • Edit, proofread, and format materials using a variety of software tools.
  • Track project hours and tasks to meet client deadlines and goals.
  • Work independently under the direction of senior staff on various projects.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing skills and the ability to work in varying environments with different people are crucial for this position.
  • Experience with developing training materials or previous consulting experience are both pluses.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience is preferred.

Experience in some of the following is required:

  • Microsoft Office
  • Adobe FrameMaker
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • RoboHelp and RoboHelp HTML
  • FrontPage
  • Dreamweaver

Instructional Designer

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed analyses, research, design, develop, and test course and performance objectives.
  • Coordinate all stages of the training design and development process.
  • Provide knowledge and recommendations for distance education, alternative delivery methods, adult-learning theory, and improving student performance. This includes designing and developing:
    • Job aids
    • Visual presentations
    • Instructor-led, computer-based, and Web-based training documentation and materials

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Adult Learning, Instructional Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.

Professional Services Manager

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop documentation and training solutions for clients.
  • Work as part of a team to provide the best solutions for clients and for the company.
  • Manage projects and staff assigned to these projects by following Radcom's project methodology.
  • Create Radplans for proposed projects, including:
    • Researching and meeting with clients to understand project scope and background
    • Determining the best approach to solve a client's problem, if necessary
    • Determining project resources
    • Estimating hours
    • Developing project plans
  • Ensure good customer relations and communication to build trust and maintain business.
  • Understand financial impact of decisions on company and client goals.
  • Work with VP of Operations, Sales staff, and other Professional Services Managers to schedule and staff projects.
  • Edit, proofread, and format materials using a variety of software tools.
  • Conduct needs analysis, interview users and work with subject matter experts to gather information.
  • Plan, organize, design, and develop technical materials, including reference material, online help, training materials and other types of user assistance.
  • Interview recruits being considered for projects.
  • Attend company functions as scheduled.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or related work experience.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Expertise in technical writing and instructional design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to assimilate complex technical information.
  • Strong understanding of business.
  • Strong PC skills and knowledge of word processing.
  • Use professional associations and training to keep up-to-date in technical writing and instructional design fields.

Experience

  • Approximately 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience working on different types of projects in different industries.
  • Proven experience in project management and leadership.
  • Extensive experience in basic and advanced software tools (MS Office, Adobe, RoboHelp, Macromedia, Lectora, etc.)

Attitudes

  • Flexible. Must be able to work on several projects simultaneously and in varying environments.
  • Team-player.
  • Leader. Must be able to negotiate, command, and maintain respect and confidence.
  • Dedicated to producing quality products.
